GoMembership makes another winning move as we announce The Chess Federation of Canada as our latest customer. Founded in 1872, the Chess Federation of Canada is the governing body for chess in Canada. Affiliated with the World Chess Federation, the CFC’s mandate is to promote and encourage the knowledge, study and play of the game of chess in Canada.
The CFC organizes and runs high-profile national championships (including the Canadian Open, Canadian Youth Chess Championship, Canadian Closed, Canadian Women’s Championship) to showcase Canadian talent, and also sends teams to the Chess Olympiad, World Youth Chess Championship, and other major international events. With over 2,000 members spread across a large number of clubs throughout all Canadian provinces, the CFC is an active, passionate and growing organization.
The CFC will streamline all aspects of member management with GoMembership’s range of core features including – Member & Club Management, Course & Event Booking Management, Communications & Marketing Campaigns, Online Payments and Reporting. In addition, GoMembership’s dual language capability will be included, allowing members to select English (US) or French as their preferred system setting.
David Pring, Azolve CEO says, “We are delighted that the Chess Federation of Canada have selected GoMembership to transform their membership administration. I’m confident that GoMembership’s range of features will deliver considerable time-saving benefits for admin staff as well as improved engagement with the CFC’s clubs and members."
Vladimir Drkulec, CFC President comments, "The Chess Federation of Canada was excited that GoMembership could offer a turnkey solution to streamline our membership function. We have only one full-time person administering all office functions and saving time in one area means that he can concentrate on other areas. We are also very excited about the prospect of expanding our offerings through as yet unimplemented features like the coaching certification functions. We run a very lean operation which is dependent on volunteers. We are also excited that GoMembership can scale down to the level of tournament organizers, chess clubs, chess leagues, and provincial associations and offer an integrated and robust payment system across the whole system."
