British Canoeing select GoMembership

We are very happy to announce GoMembership’s latest signing is British Canoeing - the recognised national governing body for paddlesports in the UK.

Earlier this year, British Canoeing launched their new strategic plan Stronger Together, which sets out clear plans for the development of the sport over the next four years.

GoMembership will play a key role in the delivery of digital systems and capabilities that underpin many objectives within the plan. This includes attracting new members to British Canoeing and improving engagement and satisfaction.

GoMembership will deliver the following services for British Canoeing:

  • Member Management
  • Club, Regional Development Team & Discipline Management
  • Course and Event Booking Management
  • Coach Management
  • Communications and  Email Campaigning
  • Online Payments

In addition, all affiliated clubs will have the ability to manage their own club administration, members, teams and payments.

David Pring, GoMembership CEO said:

“We were thrilled to get the go-ahead from British Canoeing. Their Stronger Together strategy is ambitious and exciting and we feel confident that our GoMembership solution will help support many of their objectives and ambitions.

National Governing Bodies of Sport are facing huge challenges with decreases in funding, increased governance and compliance requirements as well as higher expectations for quality membership services. We understand these challenges and have worked hard to make GoMembership the very best, affordable, feature-rich Membership & Event Management solution on the market. “

Sam Rankin, Head of Membership and Customer Services at British Canoeing said:

“We have ambitious plans to improve our provision for current members and clubs, alongside increasing the number of British Canoeing members to 75,000 by 2021. Therefore we are delighted to be working in partnership with GoMembership and are confident that it will significantly improve our membership services.”
