Badminton England go live with phase 1 of GoMembership migration

GoMembership was selected by Badminton England at the start of 2017 to help deliver their new membership structure, a key part of Badminton England’s new eight-year strategy ‘Discover Badminton’. Developed to drive future growth and success of what is already England’s favourite racket sport, a key objective in the strategy is to deliver digital transformation across the business as it seeks to reach, add value, and engage with, more members, volunteers, officials, players and fans.

GoMembership will support a growing membership base of nearly 50,000 players across a network of 1,800 clubs and the work of 41 County Badminton Associations.

The first phase has just gone live at Badminton England and encompasses the following areas –

- Coach Renewals – all Badminton England coaches will now renew annually via GoMembership
- New Coach Registration – new coaches can register and pay online
- Coaching Courses & Events – coaches can browse online for relevant courses, register and pay online
- Clubmark Accreditation – clubs can apply online and upload supporting documentation for Premier Club accreditation. (Premier Club is Badminton England’s Clubmark standard signifying that a club provides the right environment to ensure the welfare of members.)

This phased approach will continue until the full GoMembership system is live at Badminton England in September 2017.
